We seek:

In the Faculty I: School of Arts and Humanities, Political Science, we are looking for a researcher at the next possible date at the following conditions:

  • 100% = 39,83 hours
  • Pay grade 13 TV-L
  • limited 31.12.2024

The position aims to prepare the sub-project C07: "'Zwischen Volk und Forsa' - Situative Popularität und ihre Folgen für die repräsentative Demokratie" under the direction of Prof. Dr. Philip Manow as part of the CRC 1472 "Transformations of the Popular". In the event of successful approval, the aim is to continue employment until 31.12.2028.

Your tasks:

  • Preparation of the CRC sub-project C07: ‚Zwischen Volk und Forsa‘ – Situative Popularität und ihre Folgen für die repräsentative Demokratie.
  • Review, compilation and analysis of survey data from European democracies
  • Participation in the cooperation formats of the CRC "Transformations of the Popular" (e.g. working groups, workshops)

Your profile:

  • Above-average completed doctorate in political science
  • Familiarity with the state of research in comparative politics
  • Good to very good knowledge of R
  • Good to very good knowledge of quantitative methods (ideally time series analysis)
  • Experience in collaborative projects is preferable
