Mika Scho­ries

Mika Schories works as a programmer and data visualizer at Siegen University’s CRC “Transformations of the Popular” at the project “Historical Technography of Online Commenting”.

Mika is an award-winning data journalist (“Nannen Preis”, among others) and worked for ten years for ZEIT online and Süddeutsche Zeitung. Their journalistic activities are concerned with data analyses in the context of political conflict.

Their work within the project is concerned with methods for analyzing large data samples from the Internet Archive. This is made visible by a tool called the technograph, which is part of the research process.
